As we commemorate 75 years of the Chinmaya Movement through the Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav, we embark on a two year journey through Chapter 6, The Yoga of Meditation - आत्मसंयमयोगः. A mind developed through training (as laid out in chapters 2-5), is now taught to come under the intelligent will of its determined trainer, the seeker himself. The mind thus gathered and trained, is certainly a better equipped instrument for the higher purposes of Self-contemplation and Self-unfoldment. How this is done through Meditation is, in a nutshell, the theme of the sixth chapter. This chapter promises to give us all the means by which we can give up our known weaknesses and grow positively into a healthier and more potent life of virtue and strength. For the current year, we will focus on verses 1-23 of Chapter 6.
